Equipment Guidelines

Rookies

Our Rookies league for players age 5 - Kindergarten.

SYB provides each player with the following items:

• Hat
• Jersey

SYB provides each coach with the following equipment:

• Helmets
• Bats
• Baseballs
• Bases
• Hitting Tee

Players should provide their own:

• Water
• Bag
• Glove
• Gym Shoes or cleats
• Helmet (encouraged, but not required as the coach will have extra)
• Bat

Futures

Our Futures league is for players in 1st & 2nd grades.

SYB provides each player with the following items:

• Hat
• Jersey
• Socks
• Baseball Pants

SYB each coach with the following equipment:

• Helmets
• Bats
• Baseballs
• Bases
• Catcher’s Gear

Players should provide their own:

• Water
• Bag
• Glove
• Cleats (preferred but not required, gym shoes work. No metal cleats allowed)
• Helmet (encouraged, but not required as the coach will have extra)
• Sunglasses (not required, but encouraged)
• Batting Gloves (not required, but encouraged)
• Bat (encouraged, but not required as the coach will have extra)

MINORs & MAJORs

Our Minors and Majors leagues are for players in 3rd & 4th grades, and 5th & 6th grades, respectively. 

SYB provides each player with the following items:

• Belt
• Baseball Pants

• Bases
• Catcher’s Gear

Players should provide their own:

• Sunglasses (not required, but encouraged)
• Batting Gloves (not required, but encouraged)
• Athletic Cup
• Bat (encouraged, but not required as the coach will have extra)

Ponee

Our Ponee league is for players in 6th & 7th grades.

SYB provides each player with the following items:

• Hat
• Jersey
• Socks
• Belt
• Baseball Pants

• Catcher’s Gear

Players should provide their own:

• Water
• Bag
• Glove
• Cleats (metal cleats are not required, but encouraged.
• Helmet
• Sunglasses (not required, but encouraged)
• Batting Gloves (not required, but encouraged)
• Athletic Cup
• Bat (encouraged, but not required as the coach will have extra)
